If someone still has no idea: Pussy Riot is a russian punk-group, 3 young ladies who were commited to crime for 2 years just for singing anti-Putin song in church (watch video below)
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 22, Maria Alekhina, 24, and Yekaterina Samutsevich, 30, were arrested in March after performing a “punk prayer” in Christ the Savior Cathedral, dancing and high-kicking as they called on the Virgin Mary to save Russia from Putin, who was elected to a third term as Russia’s president two weeks later.
Well, nothing more to add. This process is that much odd and ridiculous that I wonder how Putin can still be a president. But that’s Russia, so then everything possible.
I feel very much sorry but proud for girls who were brave enough at the ages to make a step against russian government (everyone remembers that story with falsified elections around United Russia/Yedínaya Rossíya?) and a step forward to democracy.
